Tired of spending hours checking if those rare drops are actually worth keeping? Let Affix Appraiser do the math for you! Real-time item analysis that sammurizes the quality, rarity and usefulness of the rolled affixes in 3 intuitive scores.

Quality Score

Instantly see how well your affixes rolled. The app checks each mod against the total possible tiers for that item and the roll in the range of that tier. The quality score tells you if that mod rolled the highest possible value 100% or the lowest 0% or anything in betweeen.

Rarity Score

This score shwos how rare the affixes on the item are. SSS for the 3 most rare affixes on that item and FFF for the most common 3 on that item.

Build Score (Coming Soon)

This feature is still in development but the idea is to show a score for that item in regards to current meta builds. Showing how good or bad the item is for certain builds.

How The Scoring Actually Works

Here are some examples of how the scoring system works:

The Math (Simplified)

  • •Each affix gets scored 0-100% based on its tier (T1-T13) and how well it rolled within that tier
  • •T1 with perfect roll = 100%, T13 with min roll = basically vendor food
  • •Final score = Average of all your prefixes + Average of all your suffixes, divided by 2

What Your Score Means

Mythical (100+): Screenshot it, you won the lottery
Legendary (96-99): Definitely keep, probably worth multiple divines
Epic (86-95): Solid gear, good for trading or using
Rare (71-85): Decent, check if it fits your build
Uncommon (51-70): Might work early game or for alts
Common (<51): Vendor it and move on

Yes, I know the formula is more complex (involves tier weighting and range percentages), but trust me - it works. The app does all the heavy lifting so you don't have to open a spreadsheet every time you ID a rare.

Download Affix Appraiser

Get the latest version from our GitHub releases page

Extract to your POE2 directory

Place files in your Path of Exile 2 installation folder

Run as administrator

Right-click POE2Companion.exe and select "Run as administrator"

Configure your preferences

Set up filters, hotkeys, and display options

Troubleshooting

Tool not detecting game?

Ensure POE2 is running in windowed or borderless mode

Settings → Graphics → Window Mode

Overlay not showing?

Check that overlay is enabled and hotkey is configured

Default: Alt + F1

Performance issues?

Reduce update frequency in settings

Settings → Performance → Update Rate

Antivirus blocking?

Add POE2Companion.exe to your antivirus whitelist
